BORDER LINES: LONDON - B-M’s de Bakker returns to Europe

Former Burson-Marsteller Asia-Pacific CEO Ferdinand de Bakker is returning to Europe after more than 18 months in Singapore to act as a part-time consultant for B-M. The move comes eight months after de Bakker relinquished his regional responsibilities in favour of greater client-handling. He will be based in France and report to European CEO Ken Rietz, initially handling two clients: oil regulatory body DNV and Bell Helicopter. De Bakker joined B-M 20 years ago. He was European regional CEO for over two years prior to becoming Asia-Pacific head.
