Nevada Bob picks Generation for UK and Europe work

Nevada Bob, the world’s largest golfing retailer, has hired Generation as its first PR agency.

Generation as its first PR agency.



Generation began work on the account last week, handling consumer and

trade PR, promotions, and creative work and media-buying for print

advertising.



Broadcast PR firm Medialink was handling media buying and creative work

for TV and print advertising for specialist titles. It will continue to

handle TV advertising.



The pan-European campaign will be run out of the London office although

Generation would not rule out hiring PR support from additional agencies

across Europe.



Generation will be promoting the retailer’s specialist sectors, which

include sections for women, junier golfers and established golfers. The

agency will highlight the fact that the company’s senior managers are

all ex-golfing professionals and store staff are experienced

golfers.



Nevada Bob’s main UK store is in Broadgate in the City. It has 50

European stores and hopes to increase its franchise network.



Nevada Bob Europe managing director Ivan Norman said: ’We are heavily

committed to the UK and Europe and wanted an agency that could get to

grips with our market quickly and effectively.’
