Potato Council, a division of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, has appointed Clarion Communications to head a three-year campaign to promote fresh potatoes.

The contract follows a tender and pitch process that involved 60 PR and marketing agencies, and is worth more than £1.25m over three years.

VisitBritain has released a report giving a comprehensive analysis of overseas tourism into Britain and key forecasts for the future.

Kinross + Render has launched a campaign for the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation on behalf of a coalition that includes the Greater London Authority, the Northern Ireland Assembly, the Scottish Government and the Welsh Assembly. The campaign aims to unite more than 3,500 projects behind a 12-week programme of activities.

Rave Communications has been appointed by a federation of education providers in Luton. The Barnfield Federation has called in the agency after a public tender and competitive three-way pitch process. Birmingham-based Rave will handle all internal and external PR, media buying, recruitment campaigns, marketing materials, project management and e-marketing for the next three years.
