Public Affairs: The Week in Lobbying

Elaine Cruikshanks, former Hill & Knowlton Brussels CEO, has set up a public affairs agency with two former colleagues.

Cruikshanks has established Acumen Public Affairs with Giles Keane and Abigail Jones. Keane was most recently a director in the Brussels office of WPP-owned H&K, which he joined in 2002. Jones is a former corporate comms director at H&K Brussels, but has been an independent consultant for the past three years.

Martin Robeson Public Affairs has appointed DLA Piper Global Government Relations director Phil Brogan as a partner. Brogan will be responsible for leading the firm's planning and property comms practice.

Lionel Zetter, the independent public affairs consultant and former chair of the CIPR, has launched Zetter's Political Companion. The quarterly directory will be published in October, January, April and July each year. Issue one is out now.

the Youth Sport Trust has hired Phil Chamberlain as policy and comms director. A former civil servant, he was most recently director of external relations at Legacy Trust.

Royal Mail is hunting for a new director of corporate and government affairs as Mary Fagan prepares to depart after seven years.
