Open Road bolsters corporate comms team with appointment of Rebecca Grindon

Open Road is making a concerted push into corporate comms after the hire of Freud associate board director Rebeca Grindon.

Traditionally strong in public affairs, the agency is keen to step up its corporate presence and has recruited Grindon as director designate to help spearhead this push.

She joins from over five years with Freud, representing clients including Asda, PepsiCo, Nike, Samsung and Eurostar. She has also had previous spells at Weber Shandwick and Propeller Communications.

Graham McMillan, chief executive of Open Road, said: 'We have a great platform in corporate communications on which to build and are keen to grow this area further while continuing to grow our public affairs and corporate responsibility business.  

'Rebecca will help to drive this with her experience of corporate reputation and corporate brand work with major companies.'  

Open Road, launched in January 2007, now employs fifteen people and is looking to continue recruiting. The agency’s clients include Prudential, GE, Eurostar, William Hill, AstraZeneca, BlackBerry and BAE Systems.
