Public Sector: Tearfund appoints Laverock to media role

Christian relief and development agency Tearfund is expanding its media team in a bid to increase coverage of its activities. The charity has taken on ex-BBC reporter Peter Laverock as media officer. Laverock spent seven years in Suffolk working for BBC radio and TV programmes as a reporter, producer and news reader and is hoping to bring his knowledge of broadcast media to Tearfund. ’I’m going to be raising the profile of Tearfund and expanding our services to broadcasters, for example providing more interviewees for radio,’ Laverock said. He reports to senior media officer Keith Ewing.
