Cubitt Consulting has beaten Financial Dynamics in a two-way pitch

to the pounds 200,000 annual financial PR business for

KnowledgePool.

Computing services giant ICL is spinning off KnowledgePool this

autumn.

The float is expected at the same time as ICL is itself partially sold

off by parent Fujitsu.

KnowledgePool is ICL’s ’e-learning’ arm, selling on-line training and

development to large corporations. It has been tipped to raise up to

pounds 400 million. ICL retains FD for City PR and this relationship is

not in doubt.

Cubitt managing partner Simon Brocklebank-Fowler will head the

five-strong account team, reporting to the executive chairman of

KnowledgePool, David Wimpress.

Wimpress said: ’Sometimes when you contract out services, the head

person comes along and wows you and then you never see them again.

Cubitt brought the junior people to the pitch who would handle it on a

daily basis. They impressed us.’
