The Dome has lost another senior member of its communications team.

He is Ross Cook, head of corporate communications, who has left -

several months short of his contract’s expiry - to go travelling.

He will not be replaced, and Adam Liversage, senior media relations

manager, corporate relations, will take over his responsibilities.

A spokesman for the Dome denied there was a haemmorrhage of

communications staff, saying that contracts expired at different times

throughout the year, and that as the needs of the press office were

different from the launch phase, new staff were not being found.

Cook’s departure follows that of Deborah Oliver in April, who was

appointed director of communications for the NMEC in 1998. There are no

plans to replace her either.

Oliver originally reported to CEO Jennie Page who was sacked in

January.

Under the new leadership of Pierre-Yves Gerbeau, Oliver took on an

altered role, described as ’internal communications and special

projects’. Her departure coincided with that of Liam Kane, to whom she

reported. He was appointed MD of NMEC in April 1998.
