Opinion: From our Readers - Graduates need to join the real world

I do think graduates need to take a good lungful of the smell of commercial realism.

I am disappointed at the number of unsolicited emails I receive from recently graduated students, entitled 'To whom it may concern', accompanied by CVs that are poorly constructed and littered with errors.

At the beginning of my own career, I wrote over 200 letters to secure my first job. Those who take the time to research about my business, and then write a concise and meaningful letter of introduction, are much more likely to secure an interview.
