Public Sector: The Public Sector Week

The London Borough of Hillingdon is launching a campaign this month to raise awareness of antisocial behaviour (ASB). The Keeping ASB Out Of The Picture campaign is designed to educate and inform residents about antisocial activities.

The Scottish Government has appointed Golley Slater Scotland to handle its Greener Scotland PR account. Golley Slater will oversee the Go Greener, Zero Waste and Food Policy PR campaigns. The agency will work alongside Story, which won the above-the-line account last month.

Why Not Campaign is a new PR agency set to be launched by Peter Carroll, who led the Gurkha Justice Campaign made famous by Joanna Lumley. The agency is expected to handle a mix of public sector and voluntary work.

DHA Communications is marking its tenth anniversary by publishing a book of essays on the future of the public and not-for-profit sectors. The authors include commentators such as Demos associate John Holden, the Bishop of Liverpool Rt Rev James Jones, Eden Project director Tony Kendle, Charity Commission CEO Andrew Hind and philosopher Dr Julian Baggini. DHA commissioned 20 essays for the publication, Twenty for Twenty.
