Public Affairs: Fresh focus for Fishburn

Fishburn Hedges' new public affairs chief has outlined plans to breathe new life into the 17-strong practice.

Dermot Finch told PRWeek: 'I want our public affairs team to become renowned for helping promote innovative policy ideas to government.' Finch started last week as head of public affairs. He was previously chief executive of the Centre for Cities think-tank, and before that was a senior civil servant.

On dealing with government, he said: 'I'll be taking a content-driven approach, rather than just picking up the phone and speaking to someone I know. There's a premium on that because ministers are so busy, so constrained by the spending climate.'
