PUBLIC SECTOR: FSA appoints Faulkner to consumer affairs
Financial Services Authority (FSA) media head Judy Delaforce has drafted in Sue Faulkner from the British Diabetic Association as the watchdog’s consumer affairs spokeswoman. The post was created earlier this year to ensure the FSA makes daily contact with the media to promote better public understanding of the UK financial system and advocate consumer protection. In addition to profile-raising, Faulkner will take responsibility for explaining the body’s position on controversial issues such as endowment mortgage sales. Faulkner joins as part of a team of 11 and reports directly to Delaforce.
