Prowse and Company achieved unexpected and spectacular coverage for
its client Alcatel this week. On Monday, Peter Mandelson had been due to
deliver the annual Alcatel Communication Lecture, which Prowse
publicises for its client. That morning, Mandelson discovered he had
been given the job of Northern Ireland Secretary. He decided to go ahead
with the lecture, and Prowse seized the moment. Alcatel’s logo was
printed out and stuck to the front of Mandelson’s lectern, and the BBC,
ITN, Channel 4 and Sky all turned up to film him for that evening’s
news.
