BORDER LINES: FRANKFURT - German market reports growth

The German PR market grew by almost 25 per cent last year, according to the findings of a survey carried out by PR Week’s German sister title PR Report. The Top 100 agencies brought in fees of more than pounds 200 million and employed almost 3,000 staff, 16.6 per cent more than in 1998 . Although growth can be seen across the sector, the market leader remains Kohtes Klewes with fees of almost pounds 20 million last year, up 20 percent. Hunzinger PR was second with fees of pounds 7 million, an increase of 73 per cent.
