BORDER LINES: JOHANNESBURG - Incepta buys Ballard and King

Marketing and communications holding company the Incepta Group has bought South African IT PR consultancy Ballard and King Communications, in a deal worth almost pounds 1 million. B&K’s founding directors Karen Ballard and Hilary King will continue to manage day-to-day operations for the agency, which will now trade as Citigate Ballard and King. The new agency’s clients include Sun Microsystems and Acer Africa. The deal expands Incepta’s operation on the continent, which also includes Citigate South Africa.
