Nottingham-based Red Brick Communications has been appointed by
Donington Park Leisure to raise the public profile of Leicestershire
motor racing circuit Donington Park.
The agency was selected following a competitive pitch involving eight
other local consultancies. It is the first time Donington has appointed
a full-time outside agency.
Red Brick will report to Dave Fern, special projects manager at the
site, who decided a local agency would best understand the needs of the
Red Brick has been asked to raise awareness of Donington’s exhibition,
conference and associated hospitality facilities. The site has, for
example, recently held music festivals such as the Monsters of Rock
event, but is best known for motorbike racing.
Fern said: ’The agency’s brief is to widen the name of Donington - and
not just on a national basis, we also need to make people in the
Midlands more aware of what we do.’
Red Brick director Stephen Houghton, who will run the account, said:
’Donington Park has a lot of hospitality facilities that are not used as
much as they could be. In a sense, they want to move off the sports
pages and on to the business pages.’

attracts to the races and they want some recognition for this,’ he
