Just Health has been awarded the UK PR brief to work across the drug firm’s existing and future oncology franchise.
The brief includes PR support for two product launches, one to treat second-line castrate refractory prostate cancer and the other for metastatic triple negative breast cancer.
Senior consultant Laura Chambers will lead the Sanofi-Aventis account, and Just Health has hired another senior consultant on the back of the new business. Helen Laurence joins the agency after a year in the press office at the Alzheimer’s Society.
Earlier this year, the agency hired Ashley Lewis from MS&L Group and Gemma Taylor from Hill & Knowlton. Both joined as consultants.
Meanwhile, Hanover has picked up the public affairs brief for the account after a five-way pitch. Charles Lewington’s agency will work with the team at Sanofi-Aventis UK to support its oncology portfolio in the UK.
The briefs for Just Health and Hanover were awarded after Ian Weatherhead was appointed director of comms at Sanofi-Aventis last month.
Weatherhead will take up his role in October. He replaces longstanding comms director Cressida Ward, who moved to the company’s global headquarters in Paris as director of comms, CSR.
He joins the firm from biopharma firm UCB, where he has held the role of UK comms and public affairs
director since 2005.
