BORDER LINES: CONNECTICUT - Virgin Atlantic US loses Tavares

The US communications department of Virgin Atlantic has been reduced to a single junior staff member following the departure of co-ordinator for industry and public affairs Elvi Tavares. Tavare’ departure creates a second vacancy within the press office after PR director Gareth Edmondson left earlier this year. In the absence of these two senior roles, PR tasks are being undertaken by industry and PA assistant Christine Pilson, with support from the marketing team. More serious enquiries are the responsibility of vice-president for sales and marketing John Riorden and Virgin Atlantic director David Tait.
