The series will launch on 8 September with subsequent shows every three weeks. Practitioners are encouraged to get involved and suggest topics or guests for the shows.
In the coming weeks and months, CIPR TV will be speaking to communicators including Paul Mylrea, head of press and media relations at the BBC, who will talk about reputation washing, and Robert Phillips, CEO of Edelman UK, who will discuss the changing communications world and a new era of public engagement.
CIPR President Jay O’Connor said: ‘With so much happening in PR – from the impact of social media, to pressure on public sector communications, new measurement standards and contentious issues such as reputation laundering – we want to bring together communicators to discuss and debate in a way that is social. If people find it of value, then we will build the series. Fundamentally, this is about the CIPR engaging in new ways, bringing people together and creating a platform to discuss the issues that impact PR people.’
