The company which organises Germany’s green dot labelling scheme
for packaging recycling, Duales System Deutschland (DSD), has appointed
Heike Schiffler to succeed its existing communications and marketing
head. In the scheme, companies pay to have the green dot mark on their
packaging - the money is then used by DSD to organise the collection and
distribution of the packaging waste for recycling. Schiffler joins on 1
January 2000, replacing Petra Rob who is leaving to join construction
company Philip Holzman as its PR chief. At DSD Schiffler will head a
team of 25 and report to chief executive Wolfram Bruck.
