Forthcoming on-line business news service TheStreet.co.uk last week
appointed Text 100 and the Hogarth Partnership after its incumbent
agency, Financial Dynamics, resigned due to a conflict of interest.
David Lloyd, managing director for FD’s corporate division, said that
after the agency was hired by TheStreet, the issue of a potential
conflict was raised by another significant client planning a ’rival
FD has declined to name the client involved.
Hogarth and Text 100 teamed up to win the account after a four-way pitch
against Edelman PR Worldwide, Ogilvy PR Worldwide and Shandwick.
Claudia Jay, managing director of TheStreet, said the two agencies had
been appointed because they had complementary skills on both the City
and corporate side.
