Zaheer Nooruddin handed lead digital strategist role for Burson-Marsteller's China offices

Burson-Marsteller Asia-Pacific appoints Zaheer Nooruddin as lead digital strategist for Greater China.

Burson-Marsteller has recruited Zaheer Nooruddin as lead digital strategist for its Greater China operation. He previously was head of Edelman Digital in China before resigning earlier this year.

Nooruddin will head up Burson-Marsteller’s digital team across the five Greater China offices: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Hong Kong.

His new role involves helping identify new business opportunities and will aim to deliver digital and media solutions for the firm’s clients.

‘Zaheer’s appointment reflects Burson-Marsteller’s focus on building the most modern platforms for integrated comms at a time when storytelling is increasingly central to organisations,’ said Burson-Marsteller president and CEO, Asia-Pacific, Bob Pickard.

BMW, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Shell and IBM are some of the brands in Nooruddin’s new client portfolio.

Nooruddin also previously worked in senior roles at Proximity Worldwide/ BBDO and Ogilvy.
