World Vision International has promoted associate comms director Kate Nicholas to chief comms officer of global operations.

Nicholas, a former editor of PRWeek, takes over from John McCoy, who retires in September, having led global comms for five years.

Green Alliance has appointed Edward Robinson to the new role of media and comms manager. Robinson joins from Bell Pottinger Good Relations, where he worked in public affairs and media relations. He will support director Matthew Spencer, as well as recently appointed deputy director Tamsin Cooper.

Upstairs Creative Agency, a newly launched PR consultancy, is offering non-profit organisations a return on their investment through digital campaigns that focus on growing their supporter base. Upstairs has recently promoted a charity walk in London for The Big Issue Foundation.
