BORDER LINES: Text 100 opens US offices

SAN FRANCISCO: Text 100 has announced plans to open three more US offices by the beginning of next year. The offices will be based in New York, Silicon Valley and Atlanta. Text, which is headed by group CEO Tim Dyson, has hired Compaq’s vice-president of marketing communications, Virginia Cartwright, as general manager of the Manhattan office, opening in September. The Silicon Valley outpost will open in Palo Alto in October, under the direction of current Text account director Mark Hamilton. Text’s present general manager for Rochester, Linda Parker, will lead the Atlanta office which is set to open by next January.
