Wright will join CCC Europe next month and will be based at the agency’s London headquarters.
She joins the agency after 18 months at Cohn & Wolfe London, where she led and delivered a range of global, European and UK programmes for clients in the pharma and healthcare arena.
In her new role at CCC Europe, Wright will join the European and global leadership team and will aim to support CCC’s growth in the healthcare comms arena.
Wright previously worked in-house at pharma firm Novartis as head of oncology, external affairs and comms for Europe.
Cohn & Wolfe global healthcare practice leader Mike Kan said the agency would be looking to appoint a replacement for Wright. It is also seeking someone to fill the newly created role of UK healthcare MD, which would report to Kan.
As part of changes to Cohn & Wolfe’s healthcare team, Kan has recently appointed Clare Lucker to the role of consultant director. Lucker previously spent one year at MS&L as UK head of healthcare, and before that spent six years at Surrey-based healthcare shop Axon Communications as head of PR.
Additionally, Cohn & Wolfe has bolstered its UK client list with an appointment by global biopharmaceutical company Crucell.
The agency has been called in to provide media relations support for its pentavalent paediatric vaccine Quinvaxem.
