LCA will work on the three-year brief to position the department store as a major ‘retail destination’ in the run-up to, during and following the London 2012 Games and a key player in the regeneration of Stratford.

The brief includes leveraging the shop opening, educating the community and stakeholders about the attraction of John Lewis and the nature of the Partnership, driving footfall and maximising consumer awareness of the John Lewis brand.

LCA already has a public and private sector client base closely liked to the Games and projects in the east of the capital. The agency’s client list includes High Speed 1 and Stratford international, the Olympic Delivery Authority’s delivery partner CLM and London City Airport.

Louise Cooper, senior PR manager, John Lewis said:  ‘Westfield Stratford City is one of the largest and most significant regeneration projects ever undertaken in the UK and we’re really excited to be part of it. We will be tapping into LCA’s knowledge of London and its stakeholders to spread the word about John Lewis Stratford.’
