GCI Jane Howard has won the pounds 100,000 PR brief for shopping
The brief, which covers consumer, trade, corporate and public affairs,
was awarded following a three-way pitch.
The account will be led by director Emma Cantrill, who reports to
ShopSmart PR manager Alison Crombie.
Crombie joined ShopSmart from failed retailer boo.com, where she was PR
According to Crombie, GCI Jane Howard’s dotcom and retail experience was
an important factor in the decision.
The agency aims to build on the brand’s existing reputation to help it
drive on-line retail.
ShopSmart.com was the eighth most popular retail site in the UK in
April, attracting 399,000 visitors, according to research firm MMXI
Shopsmart.com says it is the first to launch ’on-line comparison
shopping’ in the UK.
