NatWest’s most senior investor relations expert has left to join
Financial Dynamics as a partner in the financial division.
Geoff Pelham-Lane takes on the position after ten years in his previous
role as head of IR for NatWest.
He will work alongside and report to Alex Child-Villiers, Financial
Dynamics partner and director of the financial division, on a brief to
develop the 14-stong financial team’s PR offering.
Pelham-Lane’s contact with Financial Dynamics began during the NatWest
takeover by Royal Bank of Scotland, on which FD acted.
Child-Villiers said: ’Having worked with RBS, we had established that
the investor relations team at NatWest was highly regarded. As Geoff
headed that team, we were very interested in bringing him on board.’
’It’s a complex sector and we needed a senior person who understood IR,
like Geoff, to develop our offerings,’ he added.
Prior to NatWest, Pelham-Lane worked in investment management at the
merchant bank Leopold Joseph.
NatWest is currently in the process of recruiting a new head of IR and
IR staff following three recent departures, including Pelham-Lane’s.
In the interim, the bank’s director of corporate finance, Finlay
Williamson, is taking on the IR role.
