KPMG's Tooher to join Co-op; RBS Coutts in agency talks.

Patrick Tooher is leaving his position as head of media relations at KPMG to become head of public relations for The Co-operative Financial Services. Before joining KPMG in 2005, Tooher was a financial journalist for 16 years, latterly as business editor of the Financial Mail on Sunday.

RBS Coutts, the international private banking arm of RBS, has been in talks with PR agencies about a global PR brief. The wealth management bank has been talking to 'two or three' agencies with international capabilities about supporting PR across the world.

Trilantic Capital Partners, the private equity firm, has called in Cubitt Consulting to support the sale of MW Brands, owners of seafood products including John West. MW Brands is to be sold to Thai Union Frozen Products in a EUR680m deal, making the Thai firm one of the globe's largest seafood producers.

Tulchan CommunicationS has been appointed by BBA Aviation, a FTSE 250 aviation firm employing 10,000 people worldwide, to support financial comms.

FD remained at the top of the Hemscott AIM adviser rankings guide for the second quarter. The agency had 80 clients, while Pelham Bell Pottinger beat Buchanan Communications into second place with 63 and 61 clients respectively. Since merging with ICIS, Threadneedle has moved up from sixth place to fourth with 55 clients.

Full Portion MEDIA has been hired by Greenleaf Global, the green investment specialist, as retained public relations and comms consultant.
