Emap Elan has appointed Ross Jones, formerly features editor at Red, as deputy editor of Arena. Jones started his career as staff writer on the Guardian Guide, -becoming deputy editor after 18 months. Jennifer Kabat, former editor of i-D in New York, has been appointed as associate editor of Arena. She has been editing the Hype section of The Face, and continues to contribute to Wired, Spin and the Guardian.
