Hill and Knowlton has been appointed to handle Y2K crisis
management for the Malaysian government, tendered by the National Y2K
Project Team. The project will run until March next year, with a team of
five consultants on call on 31 December, and covering further potential
computer bugs during the first three months in 2000 because of date
sensitivities during the leap year. Hill and Knowlton Malaysia managing
director Julia Ahmad will lead the crisis team.
