The miCoach app has been launched today with a global campaign including PR, digital and social media, TV, print and point of sale activity.

Central to the campaign is a 60-second film featuring sporting heroes including World Cup winner David Villa, tennis player Andy Murray and heptathlon world champion Jessica Ennis.

The app allows smartphone users to turn their phone into a personal coach with GPS pace triggered voice coaching to colour keyed pace zones, personalised and sports-specific training plans, workout calendar, navigator and workout feedback.

The miCoach app syncs automatically with the dedicated website which offers specific training plans for a range of sports including running, football, tennis and basketball. Users can create personalised programmes online to tailor to their own fitness level and goals and download the voices of their favourite sports stars to provide motivation as they train.

In the campaign film, the athletes are captured using the miCoach app during pre-season training at a series of diverse sports settings from packed commuter streets to derelict wastelands.

Villa, Ennis and Murray appear in the clip alongside NFL Superbowl winner Reggie Bush, NBA All Star Derrick Rose, rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson and Olympic gold medallist and cycling world champion Victoria Pendleton.
