Fred Olsen Cruise Lines hires BAA's Rachael Jackson for PR manager role

Cruise firm Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has poached Rachael Jackson from BAA to join the company as PR manager.

Jackson joins from her role as public affairs manager for BAA London Stansted Airport, where she was responsible for stakeholder relations and government affairs. 

Jackson replaces longstanding PR manager Wendy Hooper-Green, who will be retiring at the end of the month after 22 years in the role.

Jackson will be based in the company’s head office in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Prior to her time at BAA, Jackson spent eight years as PR manager for Hutchison Ports (UK), where she was responsible for PR for the ports of Felixstowe, Harwich International and London Thamesport. 

Jackson said: 'Fred Olsen Cruise Lines operates in what is an exciting and fast-growing industry. I am looking forward to using my previous experience of the ports and aviation sectors to help build on Fred Olsen’s already strong reputation.’
