Financial PR agency Lansons Communications has set up a specialist
internet PR agency, Lansons Digital Media, with an initial pounds
200,000 in business.
The agency has been hired by three internet start-ups: investment advice
service MrsCohen.com; on-line financial services supermarket
Moneysupermarket.com, and Citywire.co.uk, an information service for
active private investors.
The unit will offer on-line PR to off-line organisations and off-line PR
to on-line organisations.
Ian Williams, the director of the unit, said: ’There is a huge
opportunity here. We are having two or three enquiries a week from
people on-line or with start-ups.’
He added: ’A lot of clients have web sites and know they need to market
them. Click-through rates for banner adverts are falling, so this throws
the emphasis back to PR.’
