Toymaker Mattel appoints Ogilvy Broadcast & Digital for pan-European brief

Mattel has appointed Ogilvy Broadcast & Digital to help the toy brand integrate video and digital PR across Europe.

The global toy company, responsible for Barbie and Matchbox, appointed Ogilvy on a retainer from the beginning of August.

The brief will focus on the Central and Northern European market, which encompasses over 20 countries, excluding the UK.

The account will be led by the agency's head of broadcast and digital Ricky Vazquez, based in London.

The appointment builds on a number of one-off broadcast PR campaigns Ogilvy has delivered for Mattel since 2008.
