Borkowski Press and PR has been appointed to handle the launch and ongoing campaign for free children’s tabloid the Newspaper.

ongoing campaign for free children’s tabloid the Newspaper.



The National Curriculum currently calls on schools to ensure that

children read newspapers as part of their literacy programme. Launching

on 4 April, the Newspaper, published by Young Media, will be distributed

monthly to 300,000 children at 3,000 schools across the country. By

September, it is anticipated that the print run will be three

million.



Borkowski will be responsible for all elements of PR, including raising

the title’s profile within the Government and among advertisers. The

agency was appointed without a competitive pitch.



The account will be directed by Joanne McNally at Borkowski. She will

liaise with Newspaper managing editor Joyce Quarry.
