BORDER LINES: NEW YORK - First Lady hires Senate race aide

Hillary Clinton has appointed experienced campaigner Howard Wolfson as her spokesperson for the New York Senate race. Wolfson has an impressive track record: last year he was communications director for senator Chuck Schumer’s successful Senate campaign. This year he worked as press secretary on behalf of Republican Nita Lowey before Lowey dropped out of the Senate race. Prior to Wolfson’s appointment, a series of advisers had been communicating on Clinton’s behalf.
