Casio, the electronics firm behind the successful G-Shock and

Baby-G watches, has hired Joanna Lee to head PR for its watch

division.

Lee joined the company last week from fashion house Jo Y Jo, where she

was marketing and PR manager for branded merchandising.

She will handle all press relations, event sponsorship, and support

image-led branding initiatives.

Events sponsored by Casio include the G-Shock ASP World Tour 1999, which

is being held in 13 locations across the world (PR Week, 18 June).

Lee reports to Casio Timepiece Division marketing head Michael

Williamson and works alongside two product managers who handle PR

sponsorship and point-of-sale marketing.

The company retains Jackie Cooper for consumer PR campaigns.
