What is it good for?

Le Cercle is a sophisticated, stylish restaurant with dishes that encompass regional French cuisine and is a great venue for entertaining journalists or clients.

The menu has six categories consisting of delectable French petit plateaux, from Vegetal and Marin to Plaisirs, Fermier, Fromagerie and Gourmandises.

Signature dishes

Tomato tart with green sorbet; crab bavarois with pickled mango and masago; beef tartare; roasted duck with sauteed greens and rhubarb sauce, and chocolate fondant with ginger ice cream.

Who's the boss?

Viktorija Paplauskiene.

Tips please?

The sommelier, Antonin, has a superb knowledge of wine pairing, having worked in some prestigious Michelin star restaurants.

What is the damage?

The Express Lunch is a snip of a deal at £19.50 per person for four courses, including coffee or tea. Alternatively, the a la carte menu is about £35 per person, excluding wine.
