2. Travelodge hosted Britain's first 'Sleep Concert' in an attempt to help sleep-deprived British workers catch 40 winks during their working day. The free-of-charge event took place at London's City Road Travelodge on 20 July, where guests were directed to the dimly lit concert hall creating 'the optimum environment to fall into a peaceful slumber'. Presumably, Coldplay or Dido were headlining.
3. TVC MD Nicky Minter-Green cycled all the way to Paris to raise money for Mermaids for MS - a charity he helped set up to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. He, his wife and two others raised nearly £2,500 and even managed to get to Paris before Lance Armstrong and friends.
