Outside picks up Five work

Media tycoon Richard Desmond is using The Outside Organisation to handle comms around his takeover of broadcaster Five.

Desmond took ownership of Five on Monday after a week-long bidding process.

Outside was appointed by Desmond's media company Northern & Shell to handle the bid stage and is now working on the subsequent purchase, along with the Five press office.

Outside director of strategy Sam Bowen is handling the brief alongside CEO Alan Edwards. Bowen said: 'We have been dealing with questions about what the future of Five will be, because there's a lot of change in the TV market.'
