BILBAO - Charles Morin has been named president and CEO of PR Newswire, succeeding Ian Capps, who is retiring after eight years. Morin joined the global news and information distribution company in 1989, as chief financial officer, and most recently served as president of the Americas division, following PR Newswire’s restructuring last year. The company was founded in 1954, and was the first to distribute news releases to the media electronically. Today, it transmits an average of 1,200 text news releases per day.
