BORDER LINES: A first for B-M in southern Europe

NEW YORK - Burson-Marsteller has appointed its first-ever managing director of business development for southern Europe. He is Javier Celaya Barturen, former head of corporate communications at B-M Iberia. In his new role, Celaya is responsible for overseeing B-M’s growth initiatives, new businesses and multinational projects in Spain, France, Greece, Italy and Portugal. Dermot McNulty, chairman of B-M Europe said: ’Southern Europe, and particularly Spain, is playing an increasing role in the globalisation process that is sweeping through the companies in our continent.’
