PUBLIC SECTOR: RNIB seeks new UK parliamentary officer

The Royal National Institute for the Blind is looking for a UK parliamentary officer to replace Alun Thomas. Thomas, who was with the RNIB for seven years, has become head of communications at the Disability Rights Commission in Wales. The new appointee, who will report to head of public policy Steve Winyard, will manage a team of three at the RNIB in London and will co-ordinate the work of the RNIB’s parliamentary officers in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. ’He or she will be the face of the RNIB in Westminster and will provide advice to RNIB staff on working with Whitehall,’ said Winyard.
