Consumer and technology PR agency Firefly Communications has been

hired to relaunch Yell.com’s UK site.

The appointment comes as part of a pounds 10 million UK marketing spend

on relaunching and repositioning the site.

Yell.com - the UK portal of the Yellow Pages Group - hired Firefly on a

retained basis after a two-way competitive pitch. It has a brief to

promote the Yell.com brand to consumers and businesses and will be

reporting to Nigel Marson, Yell.com’s marketing communications

controller.

Firefly MD Claire Walker, who is leading the account, said: ’They are

creating a new look for the site and aiming to reposition Yell.com as

the number one choice for consumers and businesses.’

Yell.com, which was launched in 1996, has a web search featuring 1.6

million classified listings that can be searched by type, name and

location.

Yellow Pages retains Barclay Stratton to handle its off- line consumer,

trade and corporate accounts.
