MD Beech made redundant at Communique PR

The joint managing director of Manchester-based Communique PR, Brian Beech, has been made redundant.

The joint managing director of Manchester-based Communique PR,

Brian Beech, has been made redundant.

Beech was told of the decision by CEO Paul Carroll last week and left

the company with immediate effect. He had spent four years as joint MD,

having joined from GT PR.

Carroll said the parting was amicable and that the decision to abolish

the joint MD position was made purely on commercial grounds. The

remaining MD is Iain Leslie, a 13-year veteran of the company.

’Having two joint MDs for a company of 35 people didn’t make any sense,

said Carroll, who initially brought Beech in to fill that role.

’Decisions took 50 per cent longer to reach and communication internally

was a problem,’ he added.

Beech said he was considering his options before making any fresh career

decisions.
