ITV has signed a deal to cover Formula One for the 2002 to 2005
seasons.
The deal means races will continue to be shown live on Sundays. ITV also
unveiled its programme plans for 2000. New dramas include Monsignor
Renard, starring John Thaw and Blind Ambition with Robson Green. The
broadcaster is also planning a documentary on the life of entertainer
Frank Sinatra, and a new sitcom, Pay and Display, about a parking
attendant. Children’s programming will include Life Force, a futuristic
drama series.
