PUBLIC SECTOR: Nursing college searches for first web PRO

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is seeking its first internet communications officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for revamping and maintaining the college’s web site. The communications officer will report to assistant director, corporate affairs, marketing and communications, Julie Treanor. A spokeswoman for the college said: ’We want to maximise the opportunities to communicate with our members, allies and the general public.’ The new post will work within the 23-strong communications team, which is headed by corporate affairs director Deborah Rozansky. The RCN is the professional trade union for the nursing sector and counts over 320,000 members. It is currently in the process of reviewing its public affairs agency requirements (PR Week, 2 July).
