PUBLIC SECTOR: Press head to quit National Theatre

Vivien Wallace, public affairs head at London’s National Theatre, one of the largest in the world, is to lose her head of press Fiona Walsh in December. Walsh currently oversees all press and publicity for productions at the National’s three theatres, working as part of the five-strong press team and reporting directly to Wallace. The brief for Walsh’s replacement will be to maintain the theatre’s profile both nationally and internationally as a leading arts centre. Walsh is leaving to follow a career in film production with animated film company Bermuda Shorts. Prior to her work at the National Theatre Walsh worked as press officer for the English National Ballet.
