Flack: (Saving) on Expenses - Di'zain, London SW6

Reviewer Charlotte Fiander, PR manager, National Federation of Women's Institutes.

- What is it good for?

Di'zain, situated on the New King's Road near Parsons Green tube, offers the perfect balance between relaxed cafe and formal dining with a seasonal menu to suit all tastes. The interior is stylish without being pretentious and it is small enough to feel intimate when more serious discussion is required.

- Signature dishes

The steak salad and the halloumi and roasted vegetable mix are both great, and the burger is always a winner if you are looking for something a bit more substantial.

- Who's the boss?

Di'zain is co-owned and run by Albi Ison, Katie Newton and Emily Beeren. Head chef Sam Littlewort runs the kitchen.

- Tips please?

Di'zain offers some of the best coffee around, with a great selection of cakes, muffins and pastries. The small but perfectly formed garden terrace is a great escape on a sunny day.

- What's the damage?

From £7 for a salad, £10 for burger and chips and £14 for a steak - all excellent value.

Di'zain, 277 New King's Road, London, SW6 4RD. 020 7751 9711.
